A greeting from the Mayor:
I would like to welcome you to Monroe Township’s Web site. Within our 43-square-mile town we have something for everyone in Monroe. Our community is proud of its respected Blue Ribbon school district, recreational opportunities for all ages, state of the art Public Library, and a highly active Senior Center, with plans for a free standing facility in the near future.
When Monroe was founded in 1838, it was primarily an agricultural community and today our town is still rich with farmland, beautiful parks, streams and dense woodlands.
Monroe is also centrally located between Philadelphia and New York, providing easy access to two of the country’s largest cities.
So, thank you for stopping by our Web site. Take a peek and find out about our safe, caring and happy community.
Mayor Richard Pucci
