The Office of the Public Advocate serves as a liaison between the residential and business community of Monroe and government. Specifically, the Public Advocate is charged with the following responsibilities:
- Resolve resident conflicts confidentially.
- Interface on Township Departments based on need.
- Assists and refers Township residents to County, State, and Federal agencies.
- Cultivates relationships with merchants, dealerships, manufacturers, builders and developers on behalf of the Township residents.
- Organizes committees and interacts with the Board of Education, Police Department and the Office of Aging.
- Conducts surveys and formulates results.
