Animal Control

If you are experiencing problems with lost, stray, injured or nuisance domestic animals or if you suspect a rabid wild or domestic animal or see a vicious dog, contact the Animal Control Officer at 732 521-0222

Do not attempt to capture any animal on your own.

The Township offers a rabies clinic one time each year, usually in March.

In accordance with Chapter 33 of the Monroe Township Code all cats and dogs must be licensed with the Township. The purpose of this portion of the Code is to ensure our animal population does not pose a threat to the health and safety of our residents and that they are properly vaccinated against rabies.

License applications can be obtained either from the Office of the Township Clerk or from the Permits and Applications section of our web site.
